This is my entry for the stop waiting for Godot jam.

Aim of the game is to sneakily draw a subject without anybody noticing.

I wanted to create a game without violence for a change. This is not my first time using Godot, but I rarely finish games, so this was my goal for this jam.

The gameplay is very simple, perhaps even boring. I was aiming for a relaxed experience while still keeping the win/lose scenarios. Unfortunately I did not have enough time to make the game mechanics interesting.

I also don't think the game I chose to make adheres to the "Keep it simple" theme of the jam. If I were to do it again, I would pick a simpler idea. This here is a 1 or 2 week project.

Hi, nice game ! I really like the art / music

As you mentioned in the description, the gameplay is very simple, perhaps too luck-based. I find it a bit sad that there's so much randomness involved in this game. You are basically only allowed to continue the level if nobody is watching, which isn't a lot of fun, especially if it takes a lot of time. Perhaps allowing the art-bar to not reset when paused could remove some of the luck-based elements while keeping the original idea.

Anyway, cheers on your entry !

Thanks for giving it a try, I appreciate it!

Yeah I know it's very far from perfect, there is not a lot of player agency like you said. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to improve on that. I tried not resetting the drawing bar, but that made the game too easy...

Thank you for taking the time to write some feedback :)

Hi, perhaps making the bar to go back at a certain speed would make up for it (?), but as you said, it's a jam game so I don't know if editing it is worth your time

Anyway, nice jam game ! :)
Any chance you participate in other jams ?

Thank you again! I haven't thought about the progress regressing over time, it could be the potential fix. But as you said, this is just a 2 day jam game which I'm not really willing to put more time into. Not right now at least.

And yeah, I was planning to take part in the Godot Wild Jam, but I was traveling until now and don't think I have the mental energy for it! Similarly next month I'm also traveling during the jam period... but I plan to participate in the one after that in November :) and you?

Hi!

Oh, nice, travelling is nice and dandy, hope you enjoy ! I too was/am planning to take part in the vimjam (theme is on the edge) and I have a working-ish prototype, it's some sort of platformer where I've already implemented a physics system, I only need to make it fun (which is hard lol), but I don't know if I will have energy/time left to finish it. I too am planning on travelling soon.

Other than that I'm planning on joining the ludum dare jam in begin October. I don't know which jams could be fun next, which is kinda unfortunate, do you know some ?

P.S. hope you had a great time travelling :)
